Travel Products to Enhance Your Next Cruise

Ahoy, fellow sailors! I am currently getting ready to set sail on my next adventure on the high seas and I wanted to share some of my favorite items t help me embark on my cruise journey! Whether you're a seasoned cruiser or a first-time voyager, packing the right products can make all the difference in your travel experience. So, grab your sailor hat, because I've got a list of items that will elevate your cruise game to a whole new level of fun and convenience!

Sometimes your bag may not make it to your stateroom but is still onboard. Apple Air Tags will help you track it down! It may not be able to tell you what floor the bag is on, but it will tell you what area of the ship it is in.

Motion Sickness Patches, Wristbands, or Tablets:

For those prone to seasickness, be sure to pack some motion sickness relief tablets or wristbands. While modern cruise ships are equipped with stabilizers to minimize motion, it's always better to be safe than sorry. Don't let the fear of feeling queasy dampen your cruise excitement – nip it in the bud with these handy remedies.

If your cruise itinerary includes tropical destinations, stops at pristine beaches, or water-based adventures like kayaking, don't forget to pack this dry bag. Keep your valuables safe and dry and with you while enjoying all that the wonderful outdoors has to offer!

There are very few outlets in most cruise staterooms. This can be troublesome, especially if you have multiple family members and devices. This power strip has 3 plugs as well as 3 USB (2 of them C) ports. Did you realize that you can’t bring a surge protector power strip onboard a cruise? This power strip is cruise-ready and will help ensure you can charge all of your devices. It’s economical and small, but it will greatly expand your charging capabilities.

Many experienced cruisers swear by these! With limited cabin space, this gives you an additional way to hang clothes, hats and more. If you are traveling with small children, you can bring a lightweight curtain and use these to hang it from the ceiling as a room divider to help little ones fall asleep without the distraction of seeing you there.

Generally the cruise line has you staple paper luggage tags you print out to your bags, which always makes me worry that it will fall off and get lost, so I use these clear luggage tags to put my printouts in. I feel better knowing that rain won’t bleed the colors and I don’t worry about them tearing off of the bag.

Here are a few of my other favorites for cruising!

  • Towel Bands: It gets very windy on deck and you don’t want to risk your towel blowing away! With this 4 pack of towel bands, you can keep your towels safely anchored to your deck chair. As a bonus, they take up very little space in your bag or your stateroom!

  • Reusable, Collapsible Water Bottle: Stay hydrated, my friends! A reusable water bottle is not only eco-friendly but also incredibly practical. Fill it up before heading out on excursions, and you'll save both money and plastic waste onboard. Plus, most cruise lines have water stations where you can refill throughout the day, ensuring you stay refreshed and ready for all the adventures ahead. Not only that, this collapsible one will save you valuable space!

  • Retractable Lanyards in Multicolor or Black: Keeping your key card close at hand is important not just to get back into your room, but also to make onboard purchases or to utilize your drink or dining packages. Everything is connected to that card, so you want to keep it close. My favorite way is with a retractable lanyard. I don’t have to worry about it falling out of a pocket, and I can tuck it underneath my shirt if needed. The retractable ones are also handy for opening your door or providing to staff without having to fumble around for it.

  • Universal Adapter: Lots of ships have an outlet designed for a different country. This adapter could give you an extra outlet to use onboard!

Remember, the key to a smooth sailing adventure is preparation and a sprinkle of spontaneity. So, pack your bags with these fun and practical products, and get ready to create unforgettable memories on the high seas! Bon voyage!
